They’re purpose-driven, non-playing rugby development tours that mix community outreach, cultural adventure, and fun with other passionate rugby people. You’ll help grow the game while exploring amazing destinations.
2. Do I need to play rugby to join?
Nope! These are non-playing tours. Whether you’re a former player, coach, referee, or lifelong fan—you belong here.
3. Who usually joins the tours?
Our groups are made up of former and current players, coaches, referees, and rugby enthusiasts from all over the world. The common thread? A love for rugby and a desire to give back.
4. What kind of impact will I have?
You’ll be part of youth clinics, community outreach, and club development in developing rugby regions. Even just sharing your passion and stories inspires local players and helps the game grow.
5. I’m not a coach or referee—can I still contribute?
Absolutely! Just showing up with enthusiasm makes a difference. Everyone has a role, from telling stories to mentoring kids to simply cheering them on.
6. What’s included in a tour package?
Inclusions vary by destination, but most tours include accommodation, daily breakfast, some (if not all) lunches, selected dinners, excursions, all rugby outreach activities, cultural/adventure experiences, ground transportation for scheduled events, kickoff and farewell events, and support staff. Each tour page will clearly outline what’s included.
7. What’s not included?
Flights, airport transfers, travel insurance, personal spending (shopping, extra snacks/drinks), and some optional excursions or upgrades. Each tour will list up front which excursions are included and which are optional.
8. What destinations are coming up?
Our next confirmed tour is Riviera Maya, Mexico (Feb 2026). Future tours being explored include Costa Rica, Bermuda, and the Bahamas—with longer-term plans to expand into Africa, South America, and Asia.
9. How long are the tours?
Tour length depends on the destination and guest feedback. Trips may run from 4–7 days, and as we grow, we’ll also offer longer 10–14 day tours in regions like Africa, South America, and Asia.
10. Will there be downtime on the tour?
Yes. Each tour is designed with a healthy balance of rugby, culture, and relaxation—like beach time, mountain time, nature outings, or evenings to explore on your own.

11. Where do I fly into?
Each tour will list the closest major airport on its page. For example, Riviera Maya tours use Cancún International Airport (CUN).
12. Can I arrive early or stay longer?
Of course! We can help you arrange extra nights, adventures, or downtime before or after the official tour dates.
13. Do I need travel insurance?
Yes—we recommend it. We even work with a partner company, check the Travel Insurance link in the menu section above this makes it easier to purchase travel insurance. While we guarantee great tours, insurance can help protect you for things outside our control (medical emergencies, flight delays, weather, etc.).
14. What kind of accommodation will I stay in?
Comfortable, mid-range group lodging that allows for connection and convenience while still giving you personal comfort.
15. What should I pack?
Casual clothes, swimwear, comfortable walking shoes, light rugby gear for outreach events, sunscreen, a hat, and a great attitude.

16. How much do tours cost?
Each tour is priced differently depending on destination and activities. Check the specific tour page for details.
17. Do you offer discounts?
Yes! First-time guests get 10% off their first tour.
18. How do I reserve my spot?
Click the Book Now or Show Interest List button on the tour page. Spots are limited, so early booking is recommended.
19. Is my booking refundable?
Yes, with 48-hour booking protection—cancel within 48 hours for a full refund.
20. What’s your cancellation policy after 48 hours?
21. What happens if RUGBYNOMAD TOURS cancels a trip?
All trips are subject to a minimum number of participants in order to operate. Final confirmation of whether a trip will move forward will be made no later than 45 days prior to the trip’s start date.
If a trip does not meet the minimum number of participants required to operate, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the trip. In the event of a cancellation, all registered travelers will be offered the choice of a full refund or a credit toward a future trip, at their discretion.
We strongly recommend that travelers do not book non-refundable flights or additional travel arrangements until the trip has been confirmed. We also recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect against unexpected changes or emergencies.
22. What if my trip is disrupted by weather, pandemics, or other uncontrollable events?Refunds aren’t guaranteed in those cases (“God Cancels”). That’s why we recommend carrying travel insurance to protect yourself and your investment.

23. What’s the “Great Tour Guarantee”?
If the tour doesn’t meet your expectations, I promise to make it right. Your time is valuable, and we want you to feel it was well spent.
24. How many people will be in the group?
Group sizes are kept small enough to be personal and connected, but big enough to create that rugby camaraderie.
25. Will I fit in if I’m traveling solo?
Absolutely! Many guests come alone and leave with lifelong rugby friends.
26. Is the tour physically demanding?
No—these are non-playing tours. Activities are light and flexible. You can join in as much or as little as you like.
27. Do I need to speak the local language?
No. We provide local support and translation when needed. A few local phrases will go a long way, but it’s not required.
28. What kind of cultural activities are included?
This depends on the tour location, but may include beach or mountain time, nature excursions, wildlife viewing, food tours, fishing, golf, scuba diving, hiking, museums, local markets, and more. Each tour page will give specifics.
29. Will I have free evenings?
Yes. While there are organized events, you’ll also have free time to explore, relax, or socialize at your own pace.

We can’t guarantee sunshine every day (though it’s likely!). Tours are designed to be enjoyable regardless of weather conditions.
